“Would you like us to email you your receipt?” is a question many shoppers are likely to hear this Christmas. Big retailers including Topshop, Argos and Debenhams have all started providing receipts to customers by email and it’s not hard to see why. Offering access to a whole new bank of customer data, digital receipts allow bricks and mortar retailers to track what customers are buying in store and when they are buying in a new way.
